The mission of the Murphy Center is to facilitate collaboration among 17 independent agencies offering an array of 38 programs and services in support of individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in Larimer County.  Our goal is to provide a continuum of services, in a single location, to help people to survive through crisis, move forward into stabilization and ultimately to thrive in a return to self-sufficiency while helping our community to make homelessness rare, short-lived and non-recurring.

“The Murphy Center for Hope, being a container of comfort and guidance, of direction and, well, of hope… it’s helped me with a place to stay, a job, a hug, warmth, food, comfort… My thanks for their ever-smiles and direction, for their concerns and their warmth, for their skills and their colossal hearts for others, for their time and attention.  My wounds are still healing, but… My Situation Will Change.”

17 Independent Agencies operate programs out of the Murphy Center–providing everything from core human needs, crisis intervention, stabilization and self sustainability services–with a collaborative mission to help our guests escape homelessness or prevent them from becoming homeless.

The Murphy Center is a 501c3 initiative of and managed by Homeless Gear and assisted with strategic vision and policy development by a four-agency Collaborative Advisory Council comprised of Neighbor to Neighbor, Catholic Charities, Summitstone Health Partners and Homeless Gear.
