2018 MURPHY CENTER & HOMELESS GEAR
This year, Homeless Gear and the Murphy Center will host three major events–one on June 9th and two on December 8th. These events help make possible everything that we do…and they’re fun for everyone! Thank you for your support and we can’t wait to see you at one or all events.
6 PM to 9 PM on Saturday, June 9th, 2018
Colorado State University’s Lory Student Center
We have an exciting program planned this year…not only will Homeless Gear be celebrating its
ten-year anniversary, but we will announce some special news!

Toast to Transitions is our biggest fundraising event of the year. It is an opportunity to celebrate accomplishments, build awareness, and raise funds for the work that we do–including operations of the Murphy Center. Programming will include dinner, local beer and wine, music, a silent auction, guest speakers, and more.
Can’t attend Toast to Transitions, but want to help? Please consider spreading the word, donating toward our silent auction, and/or becoming a sponsor! Please contact Chelsey at firstname.lastname@example.org or (970) 587-3556 for details.
“The Murphy Center was completely instrumental in all facets of help that I needed. The smiles and encouragement here made all the difference. In fact, everything I now enjoy is a direct result of the many resources and services that the Murphy Center offers. I am extremely grateful that such a place is in existence, otherwise I’m not certain what my circumstances would be at this time in my life.” – David
HOMELESS AWARENESS DAY
Saturday, December 8th, 2018
Murphy Center Mission to Hope Walk (8 AM to 11 AM)
Murphy Center Community Dinner (6 PM to 9 PM)
Plus a full day of new events!!
Purchase Your Tickets and learn more about both events Here
Please join us in proclaiming December 8th as Fort Collins’ Homeless Awareness Day.
Multiple events will take place throughout the day (stay tuned for more details), including:
The Murphy Center Mission to Hope Walk: Individuals, families, businesses, agency partners and other groups will take the .8-mile walk—together—from the local shelters to the Murphy Center. This is a walk that many people we serve take every day. Following the Walk will be an Open House at the Murphy Center, lunch provided by local restaurants and various activities.
The Murphy Center Community Dinner: More than 200 individuals—people who are housed and guests (clients) of the Murphy Center—will come together to learn more about the Murphy Center collaborative, engage in conversation and share a meal. The Community Dinner will take place at First Presbyterian Church, just south of Old Town.
Stay tuned for a calendar of additional activities throughout Homelessness Awareness Day
